Brentwood, Essex
This fair was aimed at both group organisers and the general public. Our nomadic stand of Bodiam castle, complete with steam train in the foreground complemented perfectly our colleagues from the Kent & East Sussex railway, who were next door to us on the Ashford & Tenterden stand. Pashley Manor Gardens were at the opposite end of the row, making it easy for us to refer potential customers their way.
There was lots of interest in 1066 Country as a destination for a day out, particularly from individuals and small groups. Staff at the fair helped make group trips seem more feasible by explaining how close some of our attractions are to the M25, M20 and other transport links.

Brussels
Consumer holiday show in Brussels. Attendance : 100,000. 60% Flemish speaking, 40% French. Our partnership with Norfolkline worked very well as usual. There was a good deal of interest in 1066 Country as a short stay destination. Walks and cycling were popular activities and the fact that we produce information in both French and Flemish was well received.

This was another successful media workshop for Hastings & 1066 Country. Our stand attracted a lot of interest from European journalists and we hope to arrange visits for journalists who expressed an interest.

Hastings & 1066 Country was well represented at this annual workshop where keen journalists came to find out about our ideal short-break destination that's close enough to Belgium for just a day visit!
At the Hastings & 1066 Country or Norfolkline stands visitors could register their interest for one of the group press visits planned for 2008 or to discuss a tailor-made trip.

We saw hundreds of Group Travel Organisers at the South of England's premier one day Group Travel exhibition with nearly 300 Group Travel Guides distributed and constant interest in our Hastings stand.
