Bexhill Museum

Please Note: Bexhill Museum is closed for refurbishment and will reopen in 2009.

From dinosaurs to the giant crab of Japan, from Egyptology to Ethnography, Bexhill Museum's displays have a variety and scope to interest everybody. Come and see local wildlife, history, geology and archaeology illustrated and explained in our displays. The temporary exhibitions programme explores a wide range of subjects. Many activities and events are held throughout the year for both young and old alike.

Bexhill Museum was started in 1914 by a small group of dedicated enthusiasts who specialised in natural history, archaeology and ethnography. It has since developed into a fascinating and comprehensive collection. It gives incredible insight into the history of Bexhill, its famous residents and visitors, and the important historic milestones that have made Bexhill famous.
